The Department of Finance and tax authorities have been assigned to review, determine, and recover any outstanding financial obligations owed by the company. The Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department will also inspect and collect any unpaid land rental fees related to the site in accordance with regulations.
Established in 2002, the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park is located in the eastern gateway of the city (now part of Tang Nhon Phu Ward) and covers approximately 913 hectares. It is one of Vietnam's three national high-tech parks, alongside those in Hanoi and Da Nang. The park is designed to attract investment in high-tech sectors such as semiconductors, electronics, information technology, precision engineering, and automation.
After more than two decades of development, the park has attracted hundreds of domestic and international projects with total registered investment reaching tens of billions of US dollars. Major global corporations including Intel, Samsung, Nidec, and Jabil have established manufacturing facilities and research centers there, helping transform the High-Tech Park into one of Vietnam's leading technology manufacturing hubs.
In recent years, Ho Chi Minh City has intensified its review of delayed or unviable projects in order to reclaim land and reallocate it to new investors. This effort aims to improve land-use efficiency and attract high value-added technology projects that contribute to sustainable economic growth.
