The Dat Cuoc Industrial Park is meticulously planned to maximize geographical advantages. To the east, it borders residential areas, about 100 meters away from DH.436 road; to the west, it borders agricultural land and Tan Loi stream; to the south, it borders agricultural land and residential areas; and to the north, it borders rubber plantations. This location allows the industrial park to harness significant investment potential, especially for high-tech projects and value-added industries, contributing to strengthening the province's industrial foundation.
Binh Duong not only focuses on constructing new industrial parks but also actively expands existing ones to enhance investment attractiveness, thereby capitalizing on the advantages of technological transition and high-tech sectors. Investments in the Cay Truong Industrial Park in Bau Bang district and the expansion of Becamex Bau Bang Industrial Park in Lai Hung and Lai Uyen communes, with a scale of over 2,100 hectares, represent important strides in bolstering industrial infrastructure and attracting high-value economic sectors, fostering sustainable development in the region.
By 2030, Binh Duong plans to develop an additional 10 new industrial parks, raising the total number of industrial parks to 42, with an area ranging from 18,600 to 21,000 hectares. This expansion plan not only enhances the capacity to provide industrial infrastructure but also creates favorable conditions to attract both domestic and foreign investment, especially in high-tech sectors, generating numerous local economic development opportunities.
Attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) continues to be a major pillar in Binh Duong's development strategy. In the first nine months of this year, the province attracted $1.2 billion in FDI, ranking third nationwide, just behind Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Currently, the province has 4,342 FDI projects with a total registered capital of nearly $42 billion, accounting for 8.5% of the total FDI capital of the entire country. This is evidence that Binh Duong not only has an attractive investment environment but also serves as a pioneering hub for industrial investment.
A clear development strategy focused on sustainability helps Binh Duong to continuously affirm its position as a leading industrial center in Vietnam. Projects such as Dat Cuoc and Cay Truong will serve as the foundation for the development of industrial economics, bringing prosperity to the region and enabling effective competition on the international stage. Training and developing a quality workforce are also identified as crucial factors to meet skilled labor needs when the industrial parks become operational.
Overall, through continuous efforts in developing industrial infrastructure and attracting investment, Binh Duong is becoming one of the key highlights on the industrial economic map of Vietnam. By focusing on developing new industrial parks and upgrading existing ones, the province is making significant contributions to Vietnam's modernization and urbanization process, fostering prosperity, and enhancing the economic position of the Southern region amid global competition.
