According to the forecast of the National Meteorological and Hydrological Center, on April 27, 2024, the temperature across the country will rise sharply and the weather will be extremely hot, with temperatures in many areas expected to exceed 41 degrees.

The period from April 30 to May 1 will be the hottest period in the past decade. According to weather records on April 25, many places across the country experienced particularly hot temperatures.

In Sơn La, Hòa Bình and the areas from Thanh Hóa to Phú Yên, extreme high temperatures generally range from 38 to 40 degrees, with some areas exceeding 41 degrees; the lowest relative humidity is usually between 35% and 40%.

The northern and southern regions also experienced hot to extremely hot weather, with the highest temperature generally ranging from 35 to 38 degrees, and exceeding 39 degrees in some areas; the lowest relative humidity was usually between 40% and 45%.

The areas from Khánh Hòa to Bình Thuận and Tây Nguyên are also affected by the heat. Some areas are extremely hot, with the highest temperature generally ranging from 35 to 37 degrees, and some areas exceeding 37 degrees; the lowest relative humidity is usually between 45% and 50%.

This heat wave is expected to last until April 30 and gradually subside from May 1 to 2.

There will be few clouds in the northwest and it will be hot to very hot during the day; it will be extremely hot in Sơn La and Hòa Bình areas, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and night. Wind speed is light. Tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds are possible during thunderstorms. The minimum temperature is 23 to 26 degrees, and in some areas it is lower than 23 degrees. The maximum temperature is 35 to 38 degrees, with some areas exceeding 39 degrees; Sơn La and Hòa Bình areas are 38 to 40 degrees, with some areas exceeding 41 degrees.

There will be few clouds in the Northeast, hot to extremely hot days, and no rain at night. South wind level 2 to level 3. The minimum temperature is 25 to 28 degrees, with some areas in the mountainous areas below 25 degrees. The maximum temperature is 35 to 38 degrees, with some areas exceeding 39 degrees.

The area from Thanh Hóa to Thừa Thiên-Huế will be cloudy and very hot during the day, with isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and night. Wind speed is light. Tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds are possible during thunderstorms. The lowest temperature is 26 to 29 degrees. The maximum temperature is 38 to 40 degrees, with some areas exceeding 41 degrees.

The provinces and cities from Đà Nẵng to Bình Thuận have more clouds and are extremely hot during the day, especially the area from Khánh Hòa to Bình Thuận. It is hot during the day and extremely hot in some areas. There will be showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and night. Southeast to south wind level 2 to level 3. Tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds are possible during thunderstorms. The lowest temperature is 26 to 29 degrees. The Tây Nguyên area will be cloudy and hot during the day, with extreme heat in some areas, and there will be isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and night. Wind speed is light. Tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds are possible during thunderstorms. The lowest temperature is 22 to 25 degrees. The maximum temperature is 35 to 37 degrees, with some areas exceeding 37 degrees.

The southern region will be cloudy and hot to very hot during the day, with isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and night. Wind speed is light. Tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds are possible during thunderstorms. The lowest temperature is 25 to 28 degrees. The maximum temperature is 35 to 38 degrees, with some areas exceeding 39 degrees.
