HO CHI MINH CITY – To ensure safety and smooth organization of the 50th Anniversary of National Reunification (April 30, 1975–2025), the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department (PC08) has announced a temporary ban on pedestrian and vehicle access to more than 20 roads in the city center between April 22 and April 30, 2025.
These restrictions are designed to serve national-level rehearsals, parade drills, and the official celebration on April 30, while minimizing traffic congestion and ensuring security.
The following roads will be affected by traffic bans or partial access limitations:
Ba Son Bridge (from Thu Duc City to District 1, starting from D6 + R12 intersection)
Nguyen Binh Khiem Street (Nguyen Dinh Chieu – Nguyen Huu Canh)
Dinh Tien Hoang Street (Nguyen Dinh Chieu – Le Duan)
Ton Duc Thang Street (Le Duan – No. 37 Ton Duc Thang turnaround)
Mac Dinh Chi Street (Tran Cao Van – Nguyen Du)
Hai Ba Trung Street (Vo Van Tan – Ly Tu Trong)
Pham Ngoc Thach Street (from Turtle Lake roundabout to Notre-Dame Cathedral)
Pasteur Street (Vo Van Tan – Ly Tu Trong)
Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street (Vo Van Tan – Ly Tu Trong)
Truong Dinh Street (Vo Van Tan – Ly Tu Trong)
Nguyen Du Street (Ton Duc Thang – Cach Mang Thang Tam)
Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street (Nguyen Binh Khiem – Cach Mang Thang Tam)
Also included are roads within the restricted zone such as: Le Duan, Nguyen Van Chiem, Le Quy Don, Huyen Tran Cong Chua, Le Van Huu, Han Thuyen, Alexandre De Rhodes, Cong Xa Paris, Dang Tran Con, Thu Khoa Huan, Nguyen Trung Truc, and Dong Khoi.

April 22 (Tuesday): Full closure from 5:30 PM to 1:00 AM (next day) for combined rehearsal
April 25 (Friday) or April 26 (Saturday – backup): Closure from 5:30 PM to 1:00 AM for state-level preliminary rehearsal
April 27 (Sunday) or April 28 (Monday – backup): Closure from 3:00 AM to 12:00 PM for state-level final rehearsal
April 30 (Wednesday): Full closure from 3:00 AM to 12:00 PM for the official parade and celebration
During restricted hours, all vehicles and pedestrians are prohibited from entering the above areas, except for:
Authorized individuals with official passes or badges
Residents returning to their homes within the restricted area (on foot)
Urgent personnel with valid documentation (ID/passport/work orders)
Note: Residents and hotel guests within the closed zone must present valid ID. Motor vehicles are not allowed into security zones under any circumstances and must be parked outside the restricted area in advance.
Provide a visible phone number on your vehicle in case it needs to be relocated urgently for security purposes.
If no contact is made within 30 minutes, the vehicle will be towed to the nearest police station.
From Thu Duc City to Districts 1, 5, 6, 10, Binh Tan, and Binh Chanh:

Residents are encouraged to avoid using private vehicles and instead take public transport (e.g. buses or metro lines to Ba Son, Ben Thanh, Opera House stations).
For those wishing to follow the celebrations, 20 large LED screens will be installed along major streets: Le Duan, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Le Loi, Nguyen Hue, Dong Khoi, Dien Bien Phu, and Nguyen Dinh Chieu.
