Riding the Infrastructure Wave – Unlocking the Value of South Saigon
Ho Chi Minh City is gradually completing its coastal development strategy, with a notable highlight being the proposed elevated metro line connecting District 7 to Can Gio, proposed for investment by Vingroup.

The metro line is projected to be approximately 49–54 km long, starting from Nguyen Van Linh Boulevard (District 7) and directly connecting to the Can Gio coastal reclamation urban area—one of the most highly anticipated development zones.
Once completed, the line is expected to reduce travel time from the city center to Can Gio to just around 12–15 minutes, offering faster and more convenient regional connectivity than ever before.

The project is expected to begin construction at the end of 2025 or early 2026 and be completed in 2028, contributing to transforming the infrastructure landscape of South Ho Chi Minh City.
Not only is this a transportation project, but it is also considered an important catalyst for economic growth and coastal tourism development, while driving up real estate values in the surrounding area.
With positive infrastructure signals, South Saigon is gradually becoming a potential destination for both residential living and long-term investment.
