“Mega project” Phu My 2 Bridge worth over VND 23,000 billion: A rapid boost in connectivity between Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai is heating up every day!

Opening up a new gateway for regional connectivity, the mega infrastructure project Phu My 2 Bridge, with a total investment of over VND 23,000 billion, is recording extremely strong momentum. It is expected to completely transform the transportation landscape in Southern Vietnam.

Rapid Progress Before April 30 Deadline

Ahead of the important milestone on April 30, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has issued an “urgent” directive requiring the completion of the project feasibility study appraisal before this key deadline. To accelerate progress to the maximum extent, the city has decided not to hire external appraisal consultants. Instead, the appraisal council will directly take responsibility for ensuring legal compliance and data accuracy.

The investor—Phu My Infrastructure Masterise Co., Ltd.—is also working at full speed in coordination with relevant authorities to complete documentation, ensuring the project is ready for accelerated implementation.

An 8-Lane Architectural Masterpiece on the Nha Be River

Phu My 2 Bridge is not only a transportation project but also a modern cable-stayed architectural masterpiece. The design, awarded first prize by the TEDI–BR consortium, features symmetrical twin towers and elegant fan-shaped cable stays, creating an iconic landmark at the southern gateway.

This mega project includes 8 lanes (6 for motor vehicles and 2 mixed-use lanes), stretching 6.3 km, connecting Nguyen Huu Tho Boulevard in District 7 to Dai Phuoc Commune, Nhon Trach (Dong Nai Province).

A Strategic Corridor to Long Thanh Airport

The bridge is expected to play a key role in relieving long-standing traffic congestion at existing Phu My Bridge, National Highway 1, and the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway.

More importantly, when combined with the Lien Cang – 25C road, Phu My 2 Bridge will form a strategic transport corridor directly linking downtown Ho Chi Minh City and Tan Son Nhat Airport with Long Thanh International Airport.

Scheduled for implementation around 2029, Phu My 2 Bridge is expected not only to reduce travel time and logistics costs but also to become a major catalyst for urbanization and industrial development in both areas. Nhon Trach and the South Saigon region are entering a new phase of strong growth and unprecedented development opportunities.
