According to the plan, Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) will have five buildings directly connected to the underground stations of Metro Line 1.

The first building in Ho Chi Minh City connected to the underground station of Metro Line 1 - Ba Son Station, Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien, is the Marina Central Tower in the high-end real estate complex Grand Marina.

A representative from the Management Authority for Urban Railways (MAUR) said that they are currently compiling the connections to Metro Line 1, detailing the issues and difficulties in connecting Metro Line 1 with the buildings, and proposing solutions.

According to the plan for Metro Line 1, the underground stations include:

• Ben Thanh Central Station has six exits: Exits 1 and 2 will connect to the area of 23-9 Park and Quach Thi Trang Square; Exit 3 is on Phan Chu Trinh Street, next to Ben Thanh Market; Exits 4 and 5 are directly connected to the basement of the Ben Thanh Quadrant project; the remaining Exit 6 is at the intersection of Le Lai - Huynh Thuc Khang - Ham Nghi, in front of the Railway Transport Company building.

Previously, MAUR had sent a document to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction to resolve the issues in implementing the connection of Exits F4 and F5 of Ben Thanh Central Station with the Ben Thanh Quadrant project. However, construction activities at the Ben Thanh Quadrant project have been suspended since the end of 2022. The contractor for Exits F4 and F5 only completed the structural part up to the diaphragm wall segment between the two projects. Many other components, such as the fire protection system, fire doors, and ventilation, are still to be completed.

• Ho Chi Minh City Opera House Station has five exits, including one at Lam Son Park in front of the Opera House; one opposite exit directly connected to the basement of UnionSquare Tower; the remaining exits are adjacent to Pasteur Street.

• Ba Son Station also has a total of five exits, similar to the Opera House Station. The first exit of the station is located on the sidewalk near VP Bank Tower and is connected to Exits 2 and 3 by an underground walkway through Ton Duc Thang Street to the station. Exits 4 and 5 of the station will also be connected to the office-commercial service building project in the Saigon - Ba Son complex.
