Here are the six startups considered highly promising:

  1. Flexvelop: A German flexible financial solution for business equipment, allowing companies to lease and purchase technology at favorable prices. This flexible leasing, rent-to-own, and credit model enables businesses to try different equipment, adapt better to market changes, and find more cost-effective solutions.

  2. Brite Payments: A Swedish instant payment startup offering smarter, faster, and financially sustainable payment methods through open banking. Brite Payments' technology allows instant and seamless money transfers with bank-level security, reducing risks for merchants and creating a hassle-free payment experience for consumers.

  3. Kore Labs: A UK-based RegTech startup focusing on financial product management, reducing legal risks, costs, and time-to-market for financial products. Kore Labs serves various financial institutions, including major European banks, investment managers, and insurance companies.

  4. Nomyx: A US-based AI and Web3 token startup that helps companies seamlessly, securely, and transparently tokenize traditional assets. Businesses can tokenize various assets, including financial assets, real estate, artwork, company shares, intellectual property, and collectibles with Nomyx.

  5. Velexa: A London-based API-driven white-label investment platform providing access to global markets across all major asset classes and currencies. Velexa is a multi-asset platform that, through its B2B2C model, empowers banks, brokers, asset managers, and other institutions to integrate investment services into their portfolios, offering a unified financial experience for end users.

  6. NALA: An international remittance app enabling individuals and businesses in the EU, US, and UK to send money to 11 African countries. NALA aims to reduce remittance fees to Africa through fast, reliable, and affordable cross-border payments. NALA has grown 29-fold in the past 20 months, expanding its team from 7 to nearly 100 members.

The Startup Press Conference at Money20/20 is part of the goal to support startups at the intersection of finance and technology. Last year's winners included Net Purpose, Clima Cash, Eljun, GoKind, KYP, Zing, and Conduit, among others.
