The transformation of Tây Ninh: urban expansion and economic reshaping in 2030

In the second quarter of 2024, Tay Ninh Province in Vietnam will announce its provincial plan for 2021-2030 and look forward to development goals to 2050, including the strategy of developing "Green Tay Ninh". The plan covers land, construction and urban development.

According to the plan, by 2030, Xining Province will have 16 cities, including a second-level city, Xining City, which will continue to invest in construction and basically meet the standards of a first-level city. In addition, there are three third-level cities: Trảng Bàng, Hòa Thành and Gò Dầu (including Phước Đông), and five fourth-level cities: Tân Châu, Tân Biên, Châu Thành, and two new cities, Bến Cầu and Dương Minh Châu (including Bàu Năng).

Tay Ninh Province will also develop seven new fifth-level cities: Tân Lập, Mỏ Công, and Trà Vong in Tân Biên District; Tân Đông and Tân Hưng in Tân Châu District; and Thái Bình, Thanh Điền in Châu Thành District.

By 2030, the urbanization rate is expected to reach approximately 53%. The total residential area in the province will exceed 47 million square meters, and the per capita residential area will be approximately 33 square meters. In addition, it is planned to achieve a social housing area of ​​approximately 670,000 square meters, equivalent to approximately 15,200 housing units.

Tay Ninh province will have about 10 industrial parks in 2030, with a total area of ​​about 583 hectares.

By 2050, Tay Ninh will become a province with economic development based on clean industry and high-tech agriculture, business and tourism development, and become an international trade gateway for the southeastern region and the country.

Economic development will be organized around "three major development areas, four major power axes, and one social safety belt."

The three major development areas include:

District 1: Including Trảng Bàng Town, Gò Dầu District and the southern part of Dương Minh Châu District, it will be developed into an industrial and urban service expansion area, connected to Dầu Tiếng Lake and high-tech agriculture, with Trảng Bàng - Phước Đông - Gò Dầu The triangle area is the center.
District 2: includes Tay Ninh City, Hòa Thành Township, the western part of Dương Minh Châu District and the eastern part of Châu Thành District. As the center of administration, culture, education, medical care and tourism, it leads the service industry, followed by supporting industry and processing industries. and high-tech agriculture.
The third zone: including Tân Biên County, Tân Châu County, the western part of Châu Thành County and the northern part of Bến Cầu County, will gradually develop agriculture and social security and eco-tourism services.
The four major power axes include the Gò Dầu-Xa Mát Expressway and National Highway No. 22 and 22B connecting the north and south; and the Ho Chi Minh Road and National Highway No. 22 connecting the east and west directions, connecting Binh Duong Province and Cambodia.

In addition, the Mộc Bài Border Economic Zone will be developed into a new economic power zone, becoming a service center, an international container transshipment port and a logistics service center in the border area, as well as a financial and commercial service center in the southeastern region.
