Ho Chi Minh City: Complete Site Clearance of National Highway 50 by December 2024

On the morning of October 22, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Vo Van Hoan, conducted an on-site inspection of the progress of the National Highway 50 construction and expansion project. He also worked with the People's Committee of Binh Chanh District, the Transportation Management Board (the project investor), and related units and businesses to find solutions to address difficulties in land clearance, relocation of electricity and water systems, and other infrastructure works. This is a critical effort to accelerate the project implementation and ensure the entire site is handed over to the contractor by December 2024. Timely handover will help ensure the smooth implementation of the project, thereby boosting transportation infrastructure and economic development in the area. Adhering to the commitment on handover time will also minimize unnecessary costs and ensure the consensus of all stakeholders.

The National Highway 50 expansion project is a key transportation project aimed at connecting Ho Chi Minh City with the provinces of the Mekong Delta, playing an important role in easing traffic congestion, improving travel efficiency, and promoting socio-economic development in the region.
