A key highlight of the project is a large-scale university complex, training and research centers, along with a comprehensive ecosystem of amenities including Vinmec Hospital, Vincom Mega Mall, an 36-hole golf course, and a system of 100 themed parks. Notable components include a 27-hectare Botanical Garden Park, a 23-hectare Water Park, a 10-hectare Japanese Park, and the VinWonders entertainment area.
The urban area is expected to accommodate around 135,000 residents and 60,000 students, forming a community centered on education, research, and innovation. The project is expected to become operational in early 2035. Housing demand within the area will be met through various residential types, suitable for the demographic structure and nature of a university city. Social housing land will be developed under the city’s unified mechanism, and the investor must fulfill financial obligations in accordance with regulations.
Mr. Le Khac Hiep, Vice Chairman of Vingroup, said the group expects to develop the project into a new landmark in the northwestern area of Ho Chi Minh City, while also contributing to scientific and technological advancement, digital transformation, and long-term growth momentum for the city.
According to the overall planning orientation, the northwestern area of Ho Chi Minh City (including former Cu Chi, Hoc Mon, and District 12) is designated as an industrial–urban–service development zone, and is also expected to become a future center for education, research, and innovation. Major infrastructure projects such as Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City–Moc Bai Expressway, and the expansion of National Highway 22 are expected to further enhance the region’s growth potential.
In addition to the International University Urban Area project, Vingroup is also developing several other large-scale projects in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces, with a total land bank of about 2,220 hectares. According to its Q1 financial report, Vingroup recorded revenue of over VND 104,300 billion, up more than 24% year-on-year. As in previous quarters, real estate and manufacturing remained the two largest revenue contributors, generating over VND 60,200 billion, accounting for more than half of total revenue, and increasing nearly 10% compared to Q1 2025.
